Judith Walter

Judith Walter teaches at ThrasherMrs. Walter joined the Thrasher faculty as a first grade teacher in 2007 after teaching at a local private school and at East Ridge Elementary. She also taught Outdoor Education for the Houston Independent School District. She was a home school mom for many years while her three children were young.

She holds degrees from Montreat College in NC and the University of Memphis. While living and teaching in Texas, she took graduate courses in Forestry at Stephen F. Austin University. After receiving her teaching certification from the University of TN at Chattanooga in 2003, she began teaching public school. Creating a loving and caring classroom family atmosphere and encouraging the children to learn are her main emphasis and joy.

She is married to Bob Walter who is a former HCDE principal. She delights in their three adult children and their spouses. She enjoys traveling and recently went to Greece and Israel. She loves the Southwest and travels there frequently.
