Kathy was born and raised in Ohio. She has an undergraduate degree from the University of Cincinnati and earned her Master’s degree in Education from The Ohio State University. Kathy has lived in Chattanooga since 1994, and began teaching in 1996 at Falling Water Elementary where she taught first and second grades. Other teaching experiences include McBrien Elementary ( reading interventionist and third grade teacher), East Ridge Elementary (fifth grade), and currently at Thrasher Elementary (third and first grades).

Kathy enjoys the outdoors, reading, and spending time with her two boys, who attend Signal Mountain Middle High School. She can be frequently found watching her sons performances and sporting events.
