18: Finish 2018 Strong

December 9, 2018

Dear Thrasher Families,

2-Hour Delay Tomorrow. School begins at 10:05.

It’s a quiet week with no field trips planned. Some of our holiday traditions are in full swing (such as the 2nd Grade’s Gingerbread Village). Also, students will take benchmark tests on Wednesday and Friday of this week. These are math and literacy assessments that check in with what students know and can do. They are not tests to study for, and they are nothing to be anxious about. The purpose of the district assessments is to provide teachers with information for planning the next quarter and for letting us know how successful we are with our teaching and learning.

Remember the Date

·       Dec. 14 – YSSW Entries due to the Teacher

·       Dec. 14 – Panther Pride

Looking Ahead…

·       Dec. 14 – YSSW Entries due to the Teacher

·       Dec. 19 – Put the Year to Rest Day – ½ DAY for students (dismiss at 11:35)

Art Supplies Needed

You’ve probably heard from your child how much kids are enjoying art class. The art room is running quite low on supplies. If you’d like to send some specific items to Mrs. Underwood for upcoming projects, please click here!

SACC during Winter Break

Thrasher’s SACC will be closed during the winter break. Families that need to make use of SACC can access it at Nolan.

Thank You

We’ve seen some Amazon boxes with art supplies come rolling off the UPS truck. Thank you for sending items in!
