Supporting Thrasher this Fall

Supporting Thrasher through MEF
Posted on 10/18/2020

Dear Thrasher Families,

You know we rely heavily on the Mountain Education Foundation to provide an educational experience that is head-and-shoulders above what Hamilton County provides for our students. Through your support, the MEF funds 100% of the salaries of our art teacher, our computer/STEM teacher, and our Extra Reading Support teacher. We simply would not have any of these positions without your generosity.

In the past two years, the MEF has completely redesigned how they operate fiscally. If this had not been done, I believe the pandemic would have caused the end of the foundation. MEF was able to weather the storm of COVID-19 and survive without Dash 'n' Bash or the Back to School event. With their responsible, forward-thinking leadership and your contributions, we were able to keep all of these teaching positions this year.

Now, MEF is launching three fun and exciting ways to support our mountain schools in addition to plain ol' giving. It means so much to Thrasher if 100% of its families are supportive of MEF in any way. Please - give what you can, whether it is volunteering your time, your talent, or your treasure. See below for opportunities.

Thank you,
Jeff Paulson, principal
