About Thrasher Elementary

Thrasher is a Kindergarten through grade 5 school located in the heart of Signal Mountain, TN. From 1975 – 1999, Thrasher served the mountain as an intermediate school with grades 3 – 5. In the fall of 1999, it was reopened as a K – 5 school serving over 500 students.
The inside of the school reflects the warmth of the mountain, an throughout the school, the walls are palettes for learning. Murals around the school continue the theme of the community and/or the curriculum of that grade level. The building reflects the school’s child friendly and nurturing culture.

Teachers in all grade levels use technology as a tool to enhance and differentiate instruction; students use computers to publish writings, conduct research, create presentations, and practice academic skills.
